Performance: Power and Efficiency
When it comes to performance, the two SUVs exhibit distinct characteristics tailored to different preferences. The Jeep Compass offers a range of petrol mild and plug-in hybrid options, with power outputs ranging from 130 to 240 HP. It's both agile and efficient, with consumption figures as low as 5.5 L/100km for petrol variants and 2 L/100km for plug-in hybrids. The Compass can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in as little as 7.3 seconds and reaches a maximum speed of 200 km/h. Its compact engine capacity, hanging between 1332 cm3 and 1469 cm3, makes it an efficient companion for urban drives.
On the other hand, the Range Rover Sport, equipped with diesel and petrol MHEV options alongside its robust plug-in hybrid models, offers a more powerful lineup. The model's performance spectrum ranges from a respectable 249 HP to a high-powered 635 HP. With such power, it manages a swift 0-100 km/h in just 3.9 seconds and boasts a top speed of 290 km/h. Although its fuel consumption ranges higher than the Compass, the Range Rover Sport offers incredible electric-only range of up to 122 km.
